Creative Direction for CA Church

Since 2021 I have worked in-house at CA Church as the Lead Graphic Designer, and over the years this role has grown in depth and breadth to where it is not simply graphic design, but strategic marketing and branding design that works in collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
CA Church is a multi-campus church that hosts on average 1000 connected visitors every Sunday over several services. It is also home to several different local and international ministries that work with other non-profits and organizations around the Lower Mainland and globally.
In the fall of 2025, CA Church celebrated 50 years. This huge milestone was marked by a dedicated brand that was executed from digital screens to decor, to wayfinding to print materials. This project is an example of the wholistic nature of my work being decimated and collaborated on with many different teams and stakeholders.
The goal was to evoke nostalgic feelings through colours and shapes while still having a modern feeling that points forward and illuminates the vision-casting that CA Church is doing to plan for the next 50 years. This moodboard is made up of actual archives from CA’s history.
After spending a few afternoons with an internal team documenting and digitalizing the archives, a plan started to form in how all this history would be displayed. I consulted with several local print companies to plan out the execution of a large timeline installation that I would design as well as several gallery walls.
This season of 50 years of 50 was also marked by an anniversary weekend full of events that kicked off 50 Days of Prayer. I built out all the events to fit within one system of patches that feel reminiscent of old postage.
As with any important event or season at CA Church, the 50 Years of CA season’s brand was expanded into a landing page that I designed and implemented on our website. Included in that was a slideshow breakdown of our timeline that I created with help of our archival team and copywriters who gathered the history. You can check it out here.
On September 21, 2025, CA Church celebrated their 50th anniversary with a weekend full of festivities and events. For the next 50 days, their congregation engaged in daily prayer prompts as well as weekly prayer gatherings. The hospitality team reports the largest turnout for events to date, far exceeding projections and leading to more membership and larger community reach.
